Buying a used supercar can be an attractive option for consumers. Not because the price factor is cheaper, like used cars in general. But to get a limited edition supercar unit, which can be used as an investment.
"So the used luxury cars are like art work. Like paintings. Examples like the Ferrari 599 GTO. That price goes up. This has risen almost 100 percent. So Rp. 16 billion," said President Director of TDA Luxury Toys, Welly Tjandra, in Jakarta. .
In order to get a good unit, Welly also shares tips for consumers who are eyeing used supercars. "First, it must be considered, this car is a hit or not. It needs to be examined in detail. Especially if the chassis gets a problem, the price is also destroyed," explained Welly.
The body parts and especially the chassis must be really correct because the two parts are quite expensive to repair, reaching hundreds of millions of rupiah.
"And because if you want to see the chassis, the body must also be unloaded, then the examiner must be an expert. For TDA Luxury Sport before buying the standard, the general check up is done to the authorized dealer to make sure all cars are in good condition," he said again.
According to Welly, he often found cases of former collisions, floods, clutch runs out, until the seal leaked, when inspecting a used supercar.
"For the former floods, electricity is usually a lot of problems. Surely the price decline if there is a problem, can drop by around 40-50 percent compared to the same used cars in normal conditions," he concluded.
